5th class news

Hello all,

We have had a very busy few weeks in fifth class ! We have made impressive Self Portraits and drawings of Buddha in art. 🎨

We have learned all about Data in maths ;how to interpret and create different types of graphs as well as calculating averages. 📊📈

We have learned about; adverbs, pronouns, adjectives and prepositions in English, we have also enjoyed writing stories and having a go at, ‘Author’s chair’. 📚

We have been talking about wellbeing, respect, empathy and building positive relationships, we listed our rainbow moments 🌈 and we have pracitsed some guided meditation! Some children have sent pictures of their pets 🐶 🐱

In music we learned about the Beatles and listened to lots of their songs. 🎵

In science this week we have been learning all about Bridges; we planned our own bridge using a rationale and drew our final designs today. 🌉 💡

We have kept very active and enjoyed lots of outdoor PE lessons 💪

We have also been focusing on the theme of Mé Féin in Irish, each day we have been adding to our list of questions which we can ask our partner and answer ourselves! We also learned a míonna na bliana in the form of the Macarena. We will have our first Gaeilgeoir na seachtaine awards tomorrow ☘️ 🇮🇪

Fifth class have been working so hard and every child has been getting dojo points to reward their great efforts. We are working towards 20 points per child! Each day we finish with a ‘Happy song request’. 😎

Hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Gemma ☺️
