Campaign for more spaces for Educate Together students in ET secondary schools

Please see the message below from Belmayne ET National School Parents Council. This campaign is to support the request to the Department of Education & Skills for more spaces in our local Educate Together secondary school in Belmayne, Dublin 13.

We  have  a petition on change.org & we would be grateful if you could share it with your parent community  https://www.change.org/Urgent-More-Places-Needed-Belmayne-ETSS You may have seen the recent article in Northside People that outlines the disappointment that 26 of our students had when the offer of places were made to Belmayne Educate Together Secondary School ( BETSS).  https://dublinpeople.com/news/northsideeast/articles/2020/11/12/43553/  There are 96 students on the waiting list.  We are asking for a 3rd intake class for the academic year 2021/2022. This will mean space for the 26 disappointed students in the temporary buildings at the permanent location site in Belmayne.  We would be grateful if you could share this with your parent community in solidarity with another Educate Together school. Many of your student are also impacted by the lack of spaces in Educate Together secondary schools & we are hoping that a supported campaign will get the notice of the Minister for Education & Educate Together National Office. If you would like any other information on the campaign & strategy please feel free to contact me directly.
