Wanted – Flair for the Summer Fair

Parents! It’s time to get organised for the North Bay Educate Together traditional Family Day Out to celebrate Summer (yes, we will get a summer!)
The strong tradition of parental involvement in this great and fun event is what makes it such a special day in our Fundraising Calendar.

We will be having an open meeting in the school on Monday the 14^th of May @ 8pm. Please come along, and bring your good ideas. The more the merrier.(Refreshments will be served)

“It’s time to put some flair on the Summer Fair!”

-Raffle: As usual we will hold a raffle and will be delighted with donations. Let us know if you have a business (or know of any), willing to donate a voucher or item we can raffle in advance. In return will promote your business on the school website, and on the day. Also bottles, chocolates, vouchers, hampers etc are appreciated.

-Books/Toys/Bric a Brac, plants & Unwanted Gifts as usual are welcome and can be left in parents room leading up to the event.

-Baked goods - Bake it, Make it or Buy it! Our cafe & cake sale is always one of the most popular stalls at the fair, and depends on your donations. Cakes, buns, biscuits, scones, sandwiches or whatever takes your baking fancy!

In the coming weeks we will be collecting names of volunteers to help out on the day and we would love to hear from you, so let us know if you can help us on the day with setup/helping with stall/clean up. It’s our fair, for our school.

Let’s work together for our children to learn together!

North Bay Dance Day

For the third year in a row we are celebrating North Bay Dance Day. This year it falls on Thursday 29th March and 3rd, 4th and 5th have been preparing dances over the last five weeks. The theme is the Olympics and the dances were created by thinking about the five Olympic rings as well as sports that use throwing and jumping. There is one section in all the dances that is the same and it represents the opening ceremony when teams from all over the world march in lines together. Yet again we will be joined by children from Belmayne ETNS and with any luck a good time will be had by all.

Easter Raffle!

Dear Parent / Guardian

It’s Easter raffle time again and we have lots of yummy prizes to give away. Each class is guaranteed to have a winner of a LARGE chocolate Easter egg. There are lots more chocolate prizes too for all the children. This year we are also giving away four tickets for the ‘Dynamo Package’ at Xtreme.ie in Courtlough Adventure Centre. Lucky winners will enjoy Aerial Trekking, a Climbing Wall and a super Archery session. The tickets are valued at a total of €140! For further details, check out xtreme.ie
Easter raffle tickets are €2 each or six for €10. Please fill out the tickets and place in the Blue Box with your raffle money before Wednesday, 28th March. The raffle will take place in the school on Thursday, 29th March and winners will be able to take their loot home before the Easter holidays.

All proceeds go to North Bay Educate Together National School.

A big Thank You to all who participated in the Fun Run in January! Well done and thanks to spectators & supporters for turning up on such a wet day to cheer us on.

We raised €285.00 for the school.

Farewell Pauline Breslin!

4th Class would like to send a final farewell and good luck message to our dear friend Pauline. We have been very busy over the past couple of weeks, preparing various surprises for her. Over this time, we secretly divided into groups, working to our strengths and managing to display our multiple skills and talents.
